Legacy Moving Services specializes in grandfather clock moving.  We have all the proper tools and supplies to perform this task.  We remove the two side panels, the 2 to 3 weights and remove the pendulum.  Once these items are removed, we place a counter weight on the chains to keep tension on the clock mechanism.  We place thick blankets in the pendulum cavity so the inside of the clock is protected.  Afterwards, we wrap the outside of the clock with thick padded moving blankets and use shrink-wrap to hold the blankets in place.  We then lift the grandfather clock very gently and place it in the moving truck and secure it to the wall.
